Warranty
Warranty conditions - General
Legal compliance and warranty
Exive International B.V. guarantees that the products it supplies comply with the agreement, the specifications stated in the offer, reasonable requirements of reliability and/or usability, and the legal provisions and government regulations applicable at the time of delivery.
The warranty provided by Exive is equal to the warranty it receives from its manufacturers or suppliers. The other party cannot claim a warranty that goes beyond the manufacturer's or importer's warranty for the products.
A warranty provided by Exive, the manufacturer, or the importer does not affect the legal rights and claims that the other party can assert against Exive on the basis of the law and/or the agreement.
Manufacturer's warranty
The manufacturer's warranty is an additional commitment by the manufacturer or importer that the product will be free from manufacturing or material defects for a certain period of time – typically a maximum of one (1) year, unless otherwise stated. If a defect covered by the warranty occurs within this period, the manufacturer will, at its discretion:
- repair it
- replace it, or
- refund it.
The user must submit the product for assessment. Exive International B.V. acts as an intermediary in this process and will, in consultation with the manufacturer, determine whether the defect is covered by the warranty. Repair work will only be carried out at the address of Exive International B.V. in Zevenaar.
What is covered by the warranty
- Defects caused by demonstrable errors in production or materials under normal and careful use.
What is not covered by the warranty
- Damage caused by incorrect, careless, or improper use.
- Normal wear and tear and signs of use.
- Damage caused by external influences such as impact, falls, or weather conditions.
- Damage resulting from transport by or on behalf of the other party.
- Modifications or repairs carried out by third parties.
- Use of the product for a purpose other than that for which it was designed.
- Gifts or free products (these are not covered by the warranty).
If a product has been used incorrectly or carelessly, any form of warranty will lapse.
Warranty conditions - Flat mops
1. Scope of the warranty
Exive International B.V. provides a warranty on flat mops in accordance with the manufacturer's factory warranty. This warranty covers only material and manufacturing defects that become apparent during normal and prescribed use of the product.
2. Conditions for warranty claims
The warranty covers only manufacturing and material defects. Warranty claims are only possible if the flat mop has been used normally, maintained correctly, and washed in a (Hygyen) coarse-mesh laundry bag, in accordance with the guidelines below and the instructions provided by Exive International B.V. and/or the manufacturer.
Failure to comply with these usage and maintenance instructions will void the warranty.
3. Application and use
Flat mops should only be used for the cleaning applications for which they are designed, as stated in the product specifications.
Using the mops on rough, sharp, or otherwise unsuitable surfaces can lead to accelerated wear and tear and is expressly excluded from the warranty.
The use of Hygyen flat mops in combination with cleaning fluids is not recommended and may adversely affect the life of the product.
4. Washing instructions and maintenance
To maintain warranty coverage, flat mops must be washed and treated according to the following guidelines:

- The mop must be washed according to the prescribed load guidelines to prevent mechanical damage due to overloading the washing drum.
- The mop must be washed according to the prescribed loading guidelines to prevent mechanical damage due to overloading the washing drum.
- The mop must be free of sharp parts, metal elements, or other objects that could cause damage during the washing process.
- If in doubt, it is advisable to contact Exive International B.V.
5. Burden of proof
Since the use, washing, and drying processes take place outside the supervision of the manufacturer and importer, the burden of proof for correct compliance with the use and maintenance instructions rests with the warranty claimant.
